Apple is all set to introduce 5G cellular support for its iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone SE and iPhone 12 line ups in India. Users can avail this through Airtel and Jio 5G services. Already Apple has started rolling out the iOS 16.2 update for its eligible iPhone users. With this update Apple will enable 5G cellular support for the new iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone SE and iPhone 12 line ups in India.
The most awaited 5G network was launched on October 1st. Since then various telecom operators including Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have expanded their 5G coverage in almost 50 Indian cities. Most of the Android phone users have already started receiving their updates. But for Apple the 5G network was only available for its iOS 16.2 beta users. Airtel and Reliance Jio will be the career partners of Apple’s 5G network in India.
Apple will work with these career partners to bring the best 5G experience to iPhone users. Some other new features of the iOS 16.2 update will be Apple music Sing, disable wallpaper and notifications for always on display, new home app architecture, AirTag alerts, lock screen sleep widget, Siri silent responses and many others. Apple had enabled 5G in India in the iOS 16 beta software program week last month for a few selected iPhone users in the country. This was done on a trial basis. According to this, the selected few users with Airtel and Reliance Jio connections were able to try out the 5G. In order to use the 5G network users need to update their device to iOS 16.2.
