A renowned security firm has discovered dangerous Malware in these bunch of apps which can steal user data. Dr Web anti-virus discovered these apps which have over 2 million downloads already. Some of these Malware laden apps are not available on Google Play now. But many users have them still installed on their phones. The uses are advised to delete them as soon as possible to safeguard their private data.
Dubbed TubeBox is one of the dangerous app which has over 1 million downloads already. This app promises the users to make money by watching videos and ads. With this app users get awards while they watch videos and ads, which can later be turned into currency. Dr Web has found out that the creators of this app have trapped the victims in such a way that when they continue watching the videos and ads they not only earn money for themselves but also for the fraudsters. Another app is the dubbed Fast Cleaner & Cooling master which is available on Google Play as an OS Optimisation tool. But this is dangerous as it launches of a proxy server and a third party can use this to channel traffic through it. This app has over 500,000 downloads.
Dr Web has also found apps with Android.FakeApp trojan family which are designed to get users to participate in dodgy surveys, submit applications and register accounts to collect their personal information. The application which are mainly specific to Russian users promises high income and accompany their ads and persuade users to click on fishy links data.
